Frequently Asked Questions
Do you work with insurance companies?
Yes, we work with all insurance companies. However,we are NOT a Direct Repair shop (DRP). We find that working as DRP shop can sometimes be inadequate because certain agreements can force us to cut corners in the quality of a repair.
Do I have to use a direct repair shop?
By law, you have the right to choose any body shop you want even if your insurance company tells you otherwise. An insurance company cannot require that an automobile be repaired at a specific repair shop.
How long will it take to fix my vehicle?
If an insurance company is paying for the repairs, the repair process will depend on the length of time your insurance takes to approve an estimate and supplement that may be needed. We communicate with them directly throughout the repair to speed up the process. We aim to make sure we have the necessary parts ready for us to install into the vehicle. Given all of these factors taken into account, we can tell you how long a certain job takes but the wait time for approvals and parts will always vary.
What is a supplement?
A supplement is any additional damage we find while working on your vehicle. This damage is usually hidden underneath the exterior parts of your car. Once discovered, we contact you and your insurance company for approval of further repairs.
Can I rent a vehicle from your shop?
We supply a limited amount of car rentals right here at the shop. Be sure to ask us ahead of time. We will simply have a loaner vehicle delivered to our facility or will offer you a private transport to our contracted loaner facilities around Windsor-Essex County.
Can I drop off my car rental at your shop?
When you pick up your vehicle, you can simply leave your car rental with us and we will take care of the rest. Once you hand over the rental keys, we will contact our contracted loaners right away to inform them to the stop the charges and that you have dropped off your car rental. From there, they will be in charge of picking up the car rental from the shop.
